At SteerX, we believe that the intersection of engineering and medicine holds the key to transformative healthcare solutions. That belief was reaffirmed during our participation as jury members at a Medical Devices Innovation Challenge hosted by BETIC at IIT Bombay. The event brought together 14 finalist teams, comprising 57 innovators from diverse disciplines—engineering, medicine, design, and management—all working on real-world problems posed by clinicians. What stood out: Every team tackled clinically relevant, real-world challenges, bringing solutions closer to patient care. The interdisciplinary collaboration fostered novel perspectives, critical for developing scalable innovations. Startups were mentored by industry experts from both the healthcare and engineering sectors, ensuring their ideas remained practical and impact-driven. As we navigate the future of healthtech, such initiatives are laying the groundwork for an ecosystem that’s not just innovative, but also collaborative and solution-oriented. We were inspired by the talent and commitment of these young innovators and look forward to their continued journey in transforming care.

SteerX Hosts Investor – Focused Masterclass at ISB’s I-HEAL Workshop
As part of the I-HEAL program at the Indian School of Business (ISB), SteerX recently led a hands-on masterclass focused on investment readiness for healthcare startups. The session featured in-depth discussions on key topics that every founder must understand: How Investors Evaluate Startups: Naved A. from Wadhwani Foundation offered critical insights into investor decision-making frameworks and what it takes for a startup to stand out. Crafting the Right Narrative for Fundraising: Our very own Lalit Singla conducted an interactive session outlining best practices and common pitfalls in startup fundraising. Pitch Clinic – Speed Dating with Investors: In a unique setup, founders pitched directly to investors and mentors—including the SteerX team—receiving live feedback to refine their approach. This immersive experience helped startups build investor empathy, sharpen their pitches, and walk away with actionable insights. We’re proud to support the next wave of healthcare founders in their fundraising journeys.
Dr. Shailpriya Gupta Joins SteerX to Lead Strategic Partnerships
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Shailpriya Gupta as the Vice President of Partnerships at SteerX. With extensive experience managing functions across some of India’s most respected healthcare institutions, she has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead with strategy and empathy.
