At SteerX, we believe that the intersection of engineering and medicine holds the key to transformative healthcare solutions. That belief was reaffirmed during our participation as jury members at a Medical Devices Innovation Challenge hosted by BETIC at IIT Bombay.
The event brought together 14 finalist teams, comprising 57 innovators from diverse disciplines—engineering, medicine, design, and management—all working on real-world problems posed by clinicians.
What stood out:

- The interdisciplinary collaboration fostered novel perspectives, critical for developing scalable innovations.
- Startups were mentored by industry experts from both the healthcare and engineering sectors, ensuring their ideas remained practical and impact-driven.
As we navigate the future of healthtech, such initiatives are laying the groundwork for an ecosystem that’s not just innovative, but also collaborative and solution-oriented. We were inspired by the talent and commitment of these young innovators and look forward to their continued journey in transforming care.
